NECO Releases 2025 SSCE External Results, Records 71.63% Pass Rate
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External, recording an overall 71.63 per cent pass rate.
The examination body disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday, noting that the results cover candidates who sat for the external examination across various centres nationwide.
According to NECO, the performance reflects the level of preparedness of candidates and the effectiveness of measures put in place to ensure a credible and hitch-free examination process. The council also emphasized its continued commitment to maintaining examination integrity through improved monitoring and anti-malpractice strategies.
NECO advised candidates to check their results via the council’s official result-checking platforms and warned against patronising fraudsters or unauthorized agents. Candidates were also encouraged to promptly address any issues encountered during result verification through approved channels.
The SSCE External examination is typically taken by private candidates and serves as an alternative pathway for individuals seeking secondary school certification for higher education, employment, or other professional requirements.
NECO reaffirmed its resolve to continuously improve the conduct of its examinations and enhance the credibility of certificates issued by the council.
