Messi, Haaland, Mbappe Shortlisted For 2023 FIFA Best Player
FIFA has announced the final shortlist for the Best Men’s Player Award.
They are Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
The same trio that finished in the top of the Ballon d’Or voting.
Haaland’s goals ensured that Manchester City completed the Treble of the Champions League, English Premier League and FA Cup last season.

Messi and Mbappé lifted the Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain, but were dumped out of the Champions League in the Round of 16. Messi then moved Inter Miami CF and won the Leagues Cup.
The Women’s Best player shortlist has Spain’s duo of Aitana Bonmatí and Jenni Hermoso of Spain and Linda Caicedo of Colombia.
