Man Sentenced to 76 Years in Prison for Child Pornography, Fraud
The Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced Olukeye Adeayo Olalekan to 76 years in prison after finding him guilty of multiple serious offences, including child pornography, cyberstalking, money laundering, and fraud.
Justice Alexander Owoeye delivered the verdict on Thursday after Olalekan was tried on 18 counts brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). These charges involved:
Distribution and possession of child pornography
Cyberstalking
Concealing proceeds of fraud
Obtaining property by false pretence
According to EFCC prosecutor Mrs. Bilkisu Buhari-Bala, the crimes violated provisions of the Cybercrimes Act (2015), the Advance Fee Fraud Act (2006), and the Money Laundering Act (2022).
