LASG Orders Tankers, Trailers To Vacate Road From Cele To Tin Can Port
The Lagos State Government has issued a directive orderings all tankers and trailers parked at Cele Bus stop to Tin Can Port to vacate road immediately.
The Lagos government said the decision for the tankers and trailers to vacate the road was a decisive move to address the ongoing congestion and alleviate the challenges faced by commuters along the Cele bus stop inward Tincan Port axis.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation Sola Giwa, in a statement on Wednesday said the directive underscored the commitment of the state government to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and minimizing disruptions caused by the persistent presence of heavy-duty vehicles in the specified location.

Giwa said the order aimed to enhance the overall mobility experience for residents and commuters in the affected area.
Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the public, Giwa said the government emphasised the importance of a clear and unobstructed road network.
He urged tanker and trailer drivers to comply with this directive or be sanctioned in line with the State Transport Reform Law.
