Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has condemned the recent killings in Plateau State, describing the violence as senseless and unacceptable.
In a statement reacting to the incident, Kwankwaso expressed deep concern over the continued loss of lives, calling the attacks “barbaric” and a reflection of the urgent need to strengthen security across the country.
He urged the Federal Government and relevant security agencies to take swift and decisive action to apprehend those responsible and prevent further attacks. According to him, protecting lives and property must remain the top priority of any government.
Kwankwaso also emphasised the importance of addressing the root causes of recurring violence, including communal tensions and gaps in intelligence gathering. He called for improved coordination among security agencies and greater community involvement in maintaining peace.
The former presidential candidate extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Plateau State, urging unity and resilience in the face of the tragedy.
Observers say the statement adds to growing calls from political leaders and stakeholders for urgent and sustained measures to tackle insecurity in affected regions.
