Kebbi Ex-Lawmakers Endorse Governor Nasir Idris’ Leadership

A group of former members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence in Governor Nasir Idris, applauding his achievements and people-focused leadership just two years into office.
The endorsement took place on Monday during a courtesy visit to the governor by the Association of Ex-Lawmakers at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
Led by former Speaker Hassan Shalla, the group praised the governor’s strides in infrastructure, health, education, and empowerment initiatives across the state. Shalla described Kebbi’s capital city as visibly transformed under Idris’ administration.
“We are all witnesses to the roads, healthcare improvements, educational progress, and various empowerment projects your administration has initiated,” Shalla said.
He also commended the governor’s background as a dedicated teacher and labour leader, expressing hope that the education sector would see sustainable reforms.
The motion to pass the vote of confidence was moved by former Deputy Speaker Jafaru Mohammed (Zuru constituency) and seconded by Nafi’u Bagudo (Bagudo constituency). It was unanimously adopted by the group.
