Katsina Police Foil Kidnap Attempt, Rescue Five Victims

The Katsina State Police Command has successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt and rescued five abducted victims in Faskari Local Government Area.
According to a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Sadiq Aliyu, the rescue followed a swift response to a distress call received around 9:37 p.m. on Tuesday.
The report detailed an attack by armed bandits on a Hummer bus (T0510 KN) and a white Mendez truck (LFA 508 YR) at Unguwar Basau, located along the Funtua-Gusau Road.
Security personnel were promptly mobilized to the scene, where they engaged the bandits and rescued five victims unharmed.
The police commended the swift coordination and vigilance of the operatives involved and reassured residents of their continued commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety across the state.
