Kano Gov offers house, Hajj, Umrah to father of slain family
The Abba Kabir Yusuf, Governor of Kano State, has announced a comprehensive welfare package for the father of a family tragically murdered in Dorayi, a suburb of Kano metropolis.
Governor Yusuf made the announcement while commiserating with the bereaved man and residents of the community, describing the killing as “heartbreaking and unacceptable.” He said the state government would stand firmly with the victim and ensure that justice is served.
According to the governor, the support package includes the provision of a new house, full sponsorship for Hajj and Umrah, as well as financial assistance and social support to help the victim rebuild his life after the devastating loss.

He added that counselling and other welfare interventions would also be provided where necessary.
The governor further assured the public that security agencies have been directed to thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice. He warned that criminal acts would not be tolerated under his administration and reiterated his commitment to strengthening security across the state.
Residents of Dorayi commended the governor for the intervention, describing it as a humane response to a tragic incident, while calling on authorities to intensify efforts to prevent a recurrence.
The Kano State Government reaffirmed its resolve to protect lives and property and urged citizens to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely information.
