KADUNA GOV SOUNDS ALARM: GOVERNMENT ALONE CAN’T CARRY EDUCATION BURDEN
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has declared that government alone cannot adequately fund education, calling for stronger partnerships among stakeholders to transform the sector.
The governor stressed that parents, private organisations, development partners, community leaders, and philanthropists must play active roles in supporting education if Nigeria hopes to achieve meaningful progress.
According to him, the growing demands of the education sector require collective responsibility and innovative funding approaches to improve infrastructure, teacher quality, learning materials, and student outcomes.
Uba Sani noted that investment in education remains critical to national development, poverty reduction, and economic growth, urging stakeholders to see education as a shared responsibility rather than a government obligation alone.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding access to quality education while strengthening collaboration with partners to address existing challenges in the sector.
His remarks come amid increasing concerns over funding gaps, infrastructure deficits, and the need for sustainable reforms in Nigeria’s education system.
