The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has called on the Federal Government to take decisive action to protect lives and end the recurring violence in Jos and other parts of Plateau State.
In a strongly worded statement, the religious body expressed deep concern over the continued loss of lives, warning that the government must either ensure adequate security for citizens or “step aside” for more capable leadership.
PFN described the killings as unacceptable and urged security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend perpetrators and prevent further attacks. It also called for proactive intelligence gathering and stronger community-based security measures.
The organisation emphasised that safeguarding lives and property is the primary responsibility of government, stressing that Nigerians deserve to live without fear.
PFN further appealed for unity and restraint among residents, urging communities to avoid reprisals while authorities work to restore peace.
Observers say the statement reflects growing frustration among religious and civic groups over persistent insecurity and the need for urgent, sustained intervention.
