I’m Not Interested In AMVCA – Ibrahim Chatta Fumes Over Award Snub

Veteran actor Ibrahim Chatta has openly expressed disinterest in the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) after losing out in the Best Lead Actor category at the 11th edition held in Lagos. Chatta, who was nominated for his role in House of GAA, lost to Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors).

Speaking on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, hosted by Isbae U, Chatta was asked whether he felt underappreciated in the industry. His blunt response—“I’m not interested”—when urged to pray for an AMVCA win, suggests deep disillusionment with the award system.
