Idoma Council Clears Tinubu’s Name on Chieftaincy Title

The Idoma Area Traditional Council in Benue State has denied reports linking President Bola Tinubu to a revoked chieftaincy title.

In a statement, the council’s secretary, Adegbe Uloko, said Tinubu’s name was never on any list of people considered for a traditional title by the Igede Traditional Council.

The clarification follows rumours and media reports claiming Tinubu was affected by the recent suspension of titles in Benue.

The council explained that its directive, first issued on August 19 and later reinforced on September 2, was a general order. It stopped all conferment of titles in Idoma land until proper vetting and approval processes are completed.
