“I was doing what if I marry” – Actress Jemima Osunde laments over passport increment
Nollywood actress Jemima Osunde has reacted to the increment in Nigeria’s International passport.
News Telly reported days back that the Federal Government had announced an increase in the prices of Nigeria’s international passport. The increment was part of efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport, and the new charges take effect from 1st September 2024.
Reacting to the news via the micro-blogging platform Twitter ,now known as X, Jemima lamented over how she should have done 10 10-year passports but was thinking of when she would get married. She said she prefers the passport increment to the name change hassle.
“Me that I should’ve done 10 years passport, I was doing what if I marry.

I still choose this over the name change hassle sha”.

Months back, Jemima had bemoaned the frustrating living conditions in Nigeria as she stressed the need to get and hold on to your PVC. The Doctor of Physiotherapy asserted that Nigeria is a tough place to live in because we constantly fight for our Mental, physical, emotional and financial well-being.
Jemima Osunde isn’t the only celebrity lamenting over the state of things in the country. Actress Lizzy Gold noted how the price of a new petrol pump was now N1000 for a litre and foodstuffs in the market are extremely expensive. Questioning how people were surviving, she urged him to do something as she noted how the citizens look up to him.
Yoruba actor Saidi Balogun had cried out over the economic hardship and situation of things in the country. The veteran questioned if there was no functional price control or price regulatory agency in Nigeria. He further questioned how they can cushion the effects of inflation, as he noted how things are getting out of hand.
Actor Alesh Sanni, while lamenting the country, noted how one would use $1200 to buy a car in the United States and use N10 million to clear it in Nigeria. He questioned why such was happening and what Nigerians were paying for. The actor stated that, at this point, the government should use a knife to kill the citizens.
