I believe in PDP, working on moving party forward – Saraki”

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki reaffirmed his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite ongoing leadership crises. After a strategy meeting in Enugu with Governor Peter Mbah, Senators Seriake Dickson, and Ibrahim Dankwambo, Saraki said they addressed internal issues and began crafting a plan to revitalize the party.
The crisis centers on a leadership dispute over the PDP National Secretary position, with Samuel Anyanwu and Peter Ude-Okoye at odds. Anyanwu left the role to contest the Imo governorship, during which the Southeast PDP endorsed Ude-Okoye. After Anyanwu’s election loss, he returned to reclaim the post. The courts have issued conflicting rulings, with the Supreme Court ultimately recognizing Anyanwu as the legitimate secretary.
Saraki expressed hope for PDP’s future, emphasizing the need for unity and hard work to rebuild the party from within.
