At the time of filing this report, nothing has been heard from the victim and the abductors.
The incident has caused tension amongst residents, indigenes and business owners in the area.
A Niger Delta human rights activist, Israel Joe has now condemned the rising pace of insecurity in the state, saying, “It is time we raise alarm about the steady and incessant rate of kíɗnąpping in Delta State, especially Ughelli South – Egbo, Aragba, Otokutu, Uvwie, Warri and environs.”
“The security agencies must rise to the occasion of nipping this ugly trending social ill. How would kídnąppíng be an everyday thing now?”.
However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe claimed the incident was not reported.
