Guardiola named Premier League Manager of the Year ahead of Arteta
Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola was named Premier League Manager of the Year on Tuesday.
Guardiola won it ahead of Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.
This comes after he guided the Etihad side to an unprecedented fourth successive title.
Guardiola has previously won the award four times since he joined the club in 2016.
With six league titles, Guardiola is now the joint second-most successful coach in English football history.
Only former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has won the award more times (11).
