Governor Aiyedatiwa Nominates Four Additional Commissioners

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has nominated four additional individuals to serve as commissioners in the state executive council.

The announcement was made on Sunday in Akure through a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The latest nominees—Pastor Bola Ademuwagun, Mr. Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji Ajaka, and Mr. Adesoji Afolabi—bring the total number of commissioner nominees to 16, following the earlier nomination of 12 individuals last week. Those initial nominees are currently undergoing screening by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, in the nomination letter referenced in the statement, cited the constitutional authority vested in him under Section 192 (1 & 2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

He urged the House of Assembly to give the nominations prompt attention and approval in the interest of good governance and the development of the state.

> “I shall be most obliged to the Honourable House for your expeditious action on this request in the overall interest of our dear state,” the governor stated.
