Focus On Abia Development, Shun Distractions, Otti Urges Cabinet Members
Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has urged members of his cabinet to remain focused on delivering meaningful development across the state, warning them against distractions that could derail the administration’s agenda.
Speaking during a recent executive council meeting, Otti charged commissioners and senior government officials to concentrate on implementing policies and projects aimed at transforming Abia’s economy and infrastructure.
The governor emphasised that his administration is committed to sustainable growth, improved public services and prudent management of resources. He noted that ongoing and proposed investments in key sectors have exceeded one trillion naira, reflecting the scale of ambition behind the state’s development drive.
Otti warned that political distractions and unnecessary controversies must not be allowed to slow down the pace of progress, stressing that the expectations of Abia residents remain high.
He reiterated that accountability, transparency and teamwork would remain central pillars of his government, urging cabinet members to redouble their efforts in meeting set targets.
According to him, the administration’s focus is firmly on rebuilding critical infrastructure, improving the business environment, and attracting both local and foreign investments to boost job creation.
The governor concluded by reminding officials that their ultimate responsibility is to the people of Abia State, urging them to stay committed to the vision of rapid and inclusive development.
