Five Arraigned for Illegal Waste Dumping in Lagos

Five individuals have been arraigned before a mobile court in Bolade, Oshodi, for allegedly dumping refuse in unauthorized locations in Lagos State.
According to PUNCH Metro, the suspects—Sunday Chidiebere, Favour Odoh, Daniel Okunola, Michael Obi, and Amaka Abel—were apprehended by the enforcement team of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).
They were reportedly caught dumping waste along the road median at Ago Palace Way, located in the Okota area of the state.
Confirming the arrests, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, stated on his official X (formerly Twitter) account that the offenders had been taken to court for prosecution.
> “Early this morning, the @Lawma_gov enforcement team arrested five offenders for dumping waste along the median at Ago Palace Way, Okota. They have been taken to the Mobile Court at Bolade, Oshodi, for prosecution,” Wahab wrote.
