As I indicated during our little discussion, Germany has been a strong and consistent partner of ECOWAS and ECOWAS member states.

“Recently, we have agreed to the tune of €81 million that the government of Germany have decided to grant the ECOWAS to support us in various areas.

“Those are vital areas, as I have indicated, cover areas such as peaceful and inclusive society, climate, energy transition, sustainable economy development, health, social protection and population.

“These are important sectors, and we appreciate the support that you have given to us in these areas.

The recent agreement has brought Germany support to ECOWAS over decades or several years to close €500 million; we are very appreciative,” he said.

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received Olaf Scholz to Nigeria at Aso Villa on Sunday.
