Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has cautioned the Federal Government against allowing foreign political influence to worsen Nigeria’s insecurity, warning that inflammatory rhetoric could fuel a dangerous religious crisis.

Falana specifically warned against statements and policies linked to Donald Trump, stressing that Nigeria must not become a battleground for external religious or ideological conflicts.

He urged the government to prioritise adequate funding, equipment, and welfare for the Nigerian military and security agencies, insisting that insecurity can only be solved through strong domestic action—not foreign intervention.

According to him, promoting unity and sovereignty is critical, as any form of religious war would further destabilise the country.
