David Mark set to lead coalition against Tinubu

Barring any last-minute changes, the anti-Tinubu coalition has concluded plans to adopt the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its official platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Former Senate President David Mark has agreed to serve as the party’s Interim National Chairman.
The decision emerged after a series of meetings involving prominent opposition figures, including:
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar
2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai
Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi
However, the position of National Secretary remains unresolved, as both former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola and Senator Ben Obi have declined the offer.
Insiders say discussions are ongoing to reach a consensus on the role, with the official unveiling of the ADC as the coalition’s platform expected later this week.
