Cleric hails Oyebanji for inclusive governance

The Chief Imam of Ekiti State and President of the League of Imams and Alfas in the South-West, Edo, and Delta states, Alhaji Kewulere Bello, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for promoting inclusiveness and gender equality in governance.
Speaking on Friday during a special Juma’at thanksgiving service at the Central Mosque, Oja Oba, Ado Ekiti, to mark the third anniversary of Oyebanji’s administration, Bello described the governor’s leadership as humble and people-focused.
The cleric thanked God for granting Oyebanji wisdom and strength to deliver on his mandate, urging him to remain steadfast in service.
He said, “Many governors have ruled Ekiti, but there are lessons to learn from this one. He is humble, listens to people, and avoids sycophants. We have seen his achievements in infrastructure, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and social support for the needy.”
Bello noted that Oyebanji’s accommodating nature had earned him the support of all four former governors of the state, adding that “arrogance takes a leader nowhere.”
He urged residents to keep supporting and praying for the governor, advising the administration to remain fair and just to all citizens, regardless of religion or political affiliation.
In his remarks, Governor Oyebanji thanked the Muslim community for their prayers and support, assuring them of continued inclusive development. He also lauded the peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims in Ekiti, describing it as key to the state’s stability.
