Bundesliga: Augsburg chief explains how Onyeka will improve team
Augsburg Sporting Director, Marinko Jurendic claimed the arrival of Frank Onyeka has made the team stronger.
Onyeka joined the Bundesliga club on a season-long loan deal from Premier League outfit, Brentford on transfer deadline day.
The 26-year-old left Brentford in search of regular playing time.
Jurendic said the opportunity to sign the Nigeria international was one they were not willing to let go.
”The opportunity to bring Frank Onyeka to FCA was a chance we wanted to take,” he told the club’s official website.
“With his international experience, athletic ability and robustness, he brings a strong presence to the pitch.
“We are now well positioned in midfield for the current season as we have different types of players in our team. “We are very happy that Frank has decided to join us. We wish him a good start and much success at FCA.”
