The Nigerian Senate has expressed deep frustration over the repeated killings in Benue, Borno, Plateau, and other conflict-ridden states, declaring that lawmakers are weary of offering condolence visits while innocent lives continue to be lost.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday at the National Assembly Complex, the Senate spokesperson and Chairman of the Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, condemned the ongoing violence.

> “We are tired of paying condolence visits. We are tired of mourning our people from Plateau today, Benue tomorrow, and Borno the day after. These senseless killings must stop. Enough is enough,” Adaramodu said, visibly emotional.

His comments follow the recent massacre in Benue State, where over 100 people—including women, children, displaced persons, and security personnel—were murdered by unidentified attackers. Entire communities were burned, homes destroyed, and survivors left in shock and trauma.
