‘Be vocal in supporting Tinubu,’ Umahi tells southeast leaders
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has urged leaders in the South-East to openly support President Bola Tinubu, citing what he described as the President’s goodwill and commitment toward the region.
Umahi made the call while addressing stakeholders, encouraging political and community leaders to speak up in backing the administration’s policies and initiatives.
According to him, Tinubu has demonstrated genuine interest in the development of the South-East through ongoing infrastructure projects and inclusive governance efforts.
He emphasised that vocal support from regional leaders would help strengthen collaboration with the federal government and accelerate development across the zone.
The minister also called for unity among leaders in the region, stressing that collective engagement with the centre is essential for attracting more federal presence and investments.
Observers say the statement reflects ongoing political efforts to build broader national support and strengthen alliances ahead of future elections.
