Bandits Kill 15 Farmers, Injure 3 in Kebbi Community

Suspected bandits launched a deadly attack on Waje community in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing at least 15 farmers and injuring three others.

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, represented by his Deputy, Umar Tafida, visited the community to offer condolences to the families of the victims. During the visit to the District Head of Waje, Tafida expressed deep sympathy and announced a financial donation from the state government to support the bereaved families and the injured.

He assured residents that the government is committed to tackling insecurity in the area and will work to ensure that farmers can return safely to their fields.

The District Head of Waje, Bala Danbaba, thanked the government for the timely intervention and financial support. He noted the region’s vulnerability due to its proximity to Niger, Zamfara, and Sokoto States, and called for stronger security measures to block access routes used by attackers.
