APC Youth to Soludo: Prepare to Handover

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Vanguard has urged Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to prepare for a peaceful handover, saying the state needs a new direction under APC leadership.

In a statement on Friday, the group’s National Convener, Dr. Chibueze Oleka, praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s consistent engagement with the South-East region, noting that his recent visit to Anambra—the second in five months—demonstrates a genuine commitment to national unity and inclusive governance.

While acknowledging Soludo’s hospitality during the President’s visit, Oleka dismissed the governor’s early endorsement of Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election as insufficient to secure his own re-election.

He announced that the APC Youth Vanguard is actively mobilizing support across Anambra’s 21 local government areas to secure victory for the party in the upcoming governorship election. The group backs Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu as the candidate to bring visionary leadership and progress to the state.

“Soludo has done what he can, but it is evident the people are yearning for change,” Oleka said. “He should begin preparing to hand over peacefully to the incoming APC government.”
