APC Targets 15 Million Votes for Tinubu Across 11 Key States Ahead of 2027

As the 2027 general elections draw closer, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun an aggressive nationwide mobilisation campaign, with 11 state chapters pledging to deliver a combined 15 million votes for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
This revelation comes amid an ongoing mass registration exercise across several states, part of the APC’s strategy to strengthen grassroots support and broaden its membership base.
At the party’s 14th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held Thursday at the State House in Abuja, President Tinubu emphasised the importance of expanding the party’s reach. He announced plans to set up a special committee comprising National Working Committee members and party elders to oversee seamless registration of both new and existing members across the country.
“More people are still coming into the party. We must be ready to accommodate them,” Tinubu stated. “Our doors are open, and we must embrace everyone willing to join us. There’s nothing wrong in abandoning a sinking ship for one that offers stability.”
The President also welcomed the recent defections of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, assuring that the ruling party remains open to more crossovers.
Backing Tinubu’s remarks, the new APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, reiterated the party’s ambition to grow even stronger. Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, Yilwatda said, “We already have 23 governors and 70 senators, but we’re not stopping there. My job is to unite and expand the party. We’ll do the legwork and bring in more members.”
