AKPABIO DEMANDS CRACKDOWN: TERROR SPONSORS MUST BE EXPOSED AND BROUGHT TO JUSTICE
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has called for the exposure and prosecution of individuals sponsoring terrorism and insecurity across Nigeria, insisting that those behind violent attacks must no longer remain in the shadows.
Akpabio urged Nigerians to continue praying for the country while supporting efforts to identify and dismantle networks financing terrorist activities, banditry, and other forms of violent crime.
According to the Senate President, defeating insecurity requires not only confronting armed groups on the battlefield but also exposing the financiers, collaborators, and sponsors who enable their operations.
He stressed that Nigeria has the capacity to overcome its security challenges if citizens remain united and committed to supporting lawful efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability.
Akpabio also expressed confidence in the country’s resilience, urging Nigerians not to lose hope despite ongoing security and economic challenges.
His remarks come amid renewed national conversations on insecurity and increasing calls for stronger action against those funding criminal and terrorist networks.
