The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that agents linked to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are planning a protest in Abuja aimed at destabilising the opposition party.

The accusation was made by the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He claimed that a “notorious minister” and other APC-affiliated individuals are behind the alleged plot.

According to Abdullahi, the planned protest is intended to create unrest within the party and undermine its growing political influence ahead of the 2027 general elections. He warned that such actions, if carried out, could threaten democratic processes and political stability.

The ADC spokesperson urged security agencies to remain vigilant and investigate the claims, while also calling on party members and supporters to stay calm and avoid being provoked.

As of the time of reporting, there has been no official response from the APC or the individuals mentioned in the allegation.

Political analysts note that such accusations reflect rising political tensions as parties intensify strategies and positioning ahead of future elections.
