Adamawa guber: Binani, Fintiri know fate at Supreme Court today
Governor Umar Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State and his challenger, Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani will today, Wednesday, at the Supreme Court, know their fate in their long drawn legal action on the governorship seat.
While Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is praying the apex court to uphold the March 18 last year governorship election results announced by the Returning Officer (RO), Binani on the other hand is insisting that the results declared by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) be upheld.
However, the Supreme Court will this morning make its decision on who has the power to declare election results.
A judgment delivery notice just sighted by News Telly indicated that the final verdict would be handed down this morning.
The two strong politicians are laying claims to two different results declared by two different people.

While the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, recognized the results announced by its Returning Officer to affirm the return of Fintiri, Binani is asking for order of the apex court to compel the electoral body to uphold the one announced in her favour by the Resident Electoral Commissioner.
As of the time of filing this report, the camps of the two politicians have started arriving in the courtroom.
