AbdulRasaq Appoints New GM

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has appointed Shehu Umar (MNSE) as the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the Kwara State Water Corporation.

The Kwara State Government, made this known in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, on its X handle on Tuesday, March 12

Part of the statement reads: “Kwara State Governor #RealAARahman has appointed Engr. Shehu Umar (MNSE) as the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the Kwara State Water Corporation.

“Engineer Umar, who was acting GM of the corporation until May 2023, is reputed for his professional excellence, on-the-job experience, and personal discipline.

“Until the appointment a director in the state civil service, Engineer Umar has rich experiences in the public and private sector, including as Project Manager, Engineering Manager and Utility Services Manager at the GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc Agbara, Ogun State.

“He also worked at the defunct Nigeria Paper Mill Limited in Jebba and Sterling Products Nigeria Plc Ilupeju Lagos, among others.”
