Abacha’s Former CSO, Hamza Al-Mustapha, Declares for 2027 Presidency

Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to late Head of State General Sani Abacha, has officially announced his intention to run for president in the 2027 general elections.
Al-Mustapha made the declaration in Minna, the capital of Niger State, during a meeting with leaders of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and his supporters.
> “I am pained and deeply concerned about the current state of the nation. However, with the right direction and commitment, Nigeria can rise again,” he stated.
He promised to lead Nigeria with honesty, vision, and dedication, noting that while the journey to national recovery may be tough, it is achievable through unity and determination.
The former military officer also revealed that the Minna visit is part of a nationwide consultation tour to engage with political stakeholders in preparation for the 2027 elections.
