A court in Abuja has struck out forgery charges against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who was accused of posing as the head of the alleged Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, known as PFIPC.

Prosecutors reportedly said a review of the case revealed legal loopholes, prompting them to initiate fresh proceedings at the FCT High Court.

Adeyemi, who has been detained since July, still faces allegations of forgery, fraud and impersonation linked to the operation of the alleged agency. He denies any wrongdoing.
