KALU INSISTS SEDC MUST OPERATE FROM SOUTH-EAST
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has insisted that the South-East Development Commission (SEDC) must operate from the South-East region, arguing that the commission should be based in the area it was established to serve.
Kalu maintained that locating the commission’s operations within the region would help it remain connected to the needs of residents and improve the implementation of development projects.
The former Abia State governor’s position comes amid discussions about the commission’s operational structure and its role in addressing infrastructure and development challenges across the South-East.
The SEDC was established to coordinate development initiatives aimed at tackling the region’s challenges and promoting economic growth.
Kalu’s call has renewed attention on the importance of the commission’s location, accessibility and ability to deliver on its mandate.
