SHETTIMA RESUMES DUTIES TWO DAYS EARLY AFTER TWO-WEEK LEAVE
Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Nigeria and resumed official duties two days ahead of schedule following his two-week leave.
Shettima’s early return comes amid heightened political activities and preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The Vice President had proceeded on leave as part of his annual break but returned to the country earlier than initially expected.
His resumption means he is back to his official responsibilities at a time when the Federal Government is dealing with a number of key national issues and political developments.
The development also comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum, with political parties and leaders intensifying consultations and mobilisation.
Shettima is expected to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and participating in key government engagements following his return.
His office is expected to provide further details on his official schedule and engagements in the coming days.
