YOU’VE MADE A TURNING POINT ON KIDNAPPING IN NIGERIA, OLUBADAN LAUDS TINUBU

The Olubadan of Ibadanland has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for what he described as a significant turning point in the fight against kidnapping and insecurity across Nigeria.
The traditional ruler praised the Federal Government’s resolve to confront criminal groups without paying ransom, saying the policy demonstrates a firm commitment to ending the activities of kidnappers and terrorists.
According to the Olubadan, sustained security operations and improved coordination among security agencies have contributed to recent successes in tackling violent crimes in several parts of the country.
He urged the Federal Government to remain steadfast in strengthening intelligence gathering, equipping security personnel, and sustaining pressure on criminal elements until lasting peace is achieved.
The monarch also appealed to Nigerians to support security agencies by providing credible information that would assist ongoing operations against kidnappers and other criminal groups.
He noted that the fight against insecurity requires the collective efforts of government, traditional institutions, community leaders, and citizens to achieve meaningful and lasting results.
The Olubadan expressed optimism that with sustained commitment and effective security strategies, Nigeria would continue to make progress in restoring peace, protecting lives, and ensuring a safer environment for all.
