Former Kano State Governor and NNPP leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has criticized Nigeria’s current security architecture, insisting that urgent reforms are needed to address the country’s worsening insecurity.
Kwankwaso expressed concern that despite huge investments in security over the years, many communities continue to face attacks from terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal groups.
According to him, the persistent security challenges indicate that the existing strategy requires a comprehensive review and restructuring to meet present realities.
The former presidential candidate called for stronger intelligence gathering, improved coordination among security agencies, better welfare for personnel, and the adoption of modern technology in combating crime.
He also stressed the need for greater collaboration between federal, state, and local authorities to strengthen community-based security efforts and restore public confidence.
Kwankwaso warned that without bold and immediate reforms, insecurity could continue to undermine national development, economic growth, and social stability.
