BREAKING: Soludo sworn in for second term as Anambra gov

Professor Charles Soludo has been officially sworn in for a second term as the Governor of Anambra State following the completion of his first tenure in office.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place in Awka, was attended by political leaders, traditional rulers, party supporters and residents who gathered to witness the commencement of the governor’s new mandate.
In his inaugural address, Soludo expressed gratitude to the people of Anambra for their continued support and confidence in his administration. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining development initiatives, strengthening security, and improving economic opportunities across the state.
The governor also outlined key priorities for his second term, including infrastructure expansion, investment promotion, youth empowerment and reforms aimed at enhancing public service delivery.
He called on stakeholders to work together in fostering unity and stability, stressing that collective efforts are necessary to drive progress and improve living standards.
Observers say the second-term inauguration marks a significant milestone in Anambra’s political landscape, as the administration seeks to consolidate ongoing programmes and introduce new policies aimed at accelerating socio-economic growth.
Security operatives were deployed around the venue to ensure a peaceful ceremony, while celebratory activities were held in parts of the state following the swearing-in.
