The Ogun State Government has unveiled OgunLearn, an innovative artificial intelligence–powered teaching and learning platform aimed at transforming education delivery across public schools in the state.

The platform, which is the first of its kind in the country, is designed to support teachers, enhance students’ learning experiences, and equip learners with skills required for the future workplace.

Speaking at the launch of the initiative on Thursday, the state government said OgunLearn would leverage artificial intelligence to provide personalised learning content, assist teachers in lesson preparation, and improve classroom engagement.

According to the government, the platform will serve as a digital teaching assistant for educators, helping them develop lesson plans, generate assessments, and track students’ academic progress more efficiently.

The initiative is also expected to bridge learning gaps by offering students access to interactive lessons, practice materials, and real-time feedback tailored to their individual learning needs.

Officials explained that OgunLearn aligns with the state’s broader education reform agenda, which focuses on integrating technology into teaching and learning to improve educational outcomes and global competitiveness.

The government noted that the platform would be deployed across public schools in phases, with teachers receiving training to ensure effective adoption and usage.

It added that the introduction of OgunLearn reflects Ogun State’s commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and the preparation of young people for a technology-driven future.

The state government further assured stakeholders that data privacy and responsible use of artificial intelligence would be prioritised in the implementation of the platform.
