Court asks INEC to recognise Nenadi Usman-led committee as authentic LP leadership

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ruled that the Nenadi Usman-led National Caretaker Committee is the authentic leadership of the Labour Party (LP).
In the judgment delivered on Wednesday, Peter Lifu, the presiding judge, directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to officially recognise the faction led by Nenadi Usman as the party’s legitimate leadership.
The ruling effectively settles the lingering leadership crisis within the Labour Party and affirms the authority of the caretaker committee pending further internal processes.
