Getting Tinubu Out of Power Only Way to Rescue Nigeria — ADC
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that removing Bola Tinubu from office in 2027 is the only viable path to rescuing Nigeria from what it described as an unprecedented governance crisis.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the opposition party accused the current administration of worsening economic hardship, rising insecurity, and deepening public distrust in government institutions. According to the ADC, Nigeria is facing a “national emergency” marked by high inflation, unemployment, currency instability, and declining living standards.
The party argued that recent policy decisions have failed to deliver relief to ordinary Nigerians, insisting that a change in leadership is necessary to restore confidence, strengthen democratic governance, and put the country back on the path of sustainable growth.
The ADC further called on Nigerians, particularly youths and civil society groups, to unite around a credible alternative ahead of the 2027 general election, stressing that democratic participation remains the most effective means of effecting change.
The presidency has yet to respond to the ADC’s comments.
