Tinubu Embarks on Official Visits to Japan, Brazil
President Bola Tinubu on Friday departed Abuja for official visits to Japan and Brazil, with a brief stopover in Dubai, UAE. He left at 11:15 a.m., seen off by top government officials including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Finance Minister Wale Edun, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.
Tinubu will first attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama from August 20–22, holding bilateral meetings and engaging Japanese investors.
He will then proceed to Brasília for a two-day state visit from August 24–25 at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
