ADC coalition will put Nigerians first, says Peter Obi

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has assured Nigerians that the newly formed coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will always put the interests of the people above all else.
Reaffirming his support for the adoption of the ADC as the coalition’s platform ahead of the 2027 general elections, Obi described the move as driven by a shared commitment to deliver competent and compassionate leadership for the country.
In a post shared on his official X handle on Thursday, the former Anambra State governor noted that the decision to unite under the ADC was reached after “deep reflection” on Nigeria’s current challenges and the urgent need for a new political direction.
> “Yesterday, the coalition members formally adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 Nigeria General Elections, with Distinguished Senator David Mark as the National Chairman and H.E. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the National Secretary,” Obi wrote.
