Chief Bode George, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has warned that party members who refuse to follow its rules will be expelled. Speaking on Sunday Politics on Channels Television, George stated that the PDP’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on May 27 will address internal discord decisively.

He criticized self-serving politicians within the party and emphasized the need for a return to the PDP’s founding principles, which prioritize public service over personal gain.

George asserted that the NEC has full authority to purge the party of undisciplined members, stressing the importance of internal reform to rebuild the party’s credibility.

The PDP has been embroiled in internal conflicts since the 2023 elections, with concerns over members openly supporting the ruling APC. Notably, former Rivers State Governor and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, recently affirmed his continued support for President Tinubu while remaining in the PDP.
