Kano South Senator Kawu Samaila Defects To APC
Senator Kawu Samaila of Kano South has officially left the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). His defection was formally announced in the Senate by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. APC senators welcomed Kawu enthusiastically and led him to his new seat among the majority.
This move comes amid growing speculation that NNPP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, may also be considering a defection to the APC, especially following his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
