EPL: I don’t have motivation to win title now – Guardiola
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has said he does not have motivation to win the Premier League title right now.
Guardiola is aiming to win his seventh title in eight years, having won the last four in a row.
However, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is not looking far ahead.
For him, the immediate attention is on their league opener against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
“When we arrive in the last month and we are close to winning another Premier League, then that will be the motivation.
“But now? For me the motivation to win another Premier League is not there… for me it will be in the last month. Now it’s: ‘Can we beat Chelsea?’”
City have already landed their first piece of silverware this season, thanks to a penalty shoot-out win over Manchester United in the Community Shield.
