Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has shared a touching account of his early struggles, revealing that the death of his father pushed him into street hawking in Lagos to support his family.
Speaking on his life journey, the governor said he sold soft drinks on the streets of Lagos as a young boy to help his mother survive after the family lost its breadwinner. He noted that the experience shaped his resilience, discipline and commitment to hard work, values he says continue to guide his leadership today.
The governor encouraged young Nigerians not to allow difficult beginnings define their limits, stressing that perseverance and faith can turn hardship into success.
