2015 APC win: Tinubu, Atiku merger added 3.2 million votes — Ex-SGF

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has revealed that the historic 2013 merger which brought together the Action Congress of Nigeria (led by Bola Tinubu), the new Peoples Democratic Party (with Atiku Abubakar and others), and other groups helped add 3.2 million votes to Muhammadu Buhari’s tally, leading to his victory over President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 election.

Mustapha made this known during a lecture on Buhari’s role in national development at the launch of a new book titled “According to the President: Lessons from a Presidential Spokesman’s Experience,” written by former presidential spokesperson Garba Shehu, held in Abuja on Wednesday.

At the event were notable figures including former Vice Presidents Yemi Osinbajo and Atiku Abubakar, former Chief of Staff Prof Ibrahim Gambari, ex-governors Kayode Fayemi, Nasir El-Rufai, and former ministers Lai Mohammed, Isa Ali Pantami, Sadiya Umar Farouq, and Solomon Dalung.
